Golden State Opportunity’s Community Connect program works with community-based organizations (CBOs) dedicated to reaching communities that traditional outreach and education efforts often miss.

Through strategic partnerships, GSO teams up with trusted organizations with deep roots in their communities. We offer robust support through outreach materials (flyers, handouts, social media assets), staff training, event coordination, and translation services.

The centerpiece of the program includes Free Tax Preparation Assistance (FTPA) and Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) outreach for the following:

  • California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC);
  • California Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC);
  • Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC); and
  • Federal Child Tax Credit (CTC)
