SAN FRANCISCO —As we mourn the loss of Senator Feinstein, we applaud Governor Newsom’s decision to appoint Laphonza Butler as the new Senator for our state. Golden State Opportunity looks forward to Butler taking the baton and continuing the work left by our late Senator Feinstein. From her tenure as the head of SEIU Local 2015, Butler understands the challenges of those working hard and unable to make ends meet.
