Like many Americans, millions of California workers are fed up with rising costs and low wages. With strikes happening across nearly every industry this summer, striking Californians need our support now more than ever.

You can help. The California Legislature just passed SB 799 (Portantino), a bill to allow striking and locked out workers to receive unemployment benefits. Without this emergency assistance, workers on strike are relying on personal savings, strike funds, side gigs and side hustles, even though these emergency steps rarely cover their full needs.
